The last six weeks since my last update have flown by!! It’s been said that life seems to go faster the older one gets; I see a lot of truth in that statement!!!
The month of February had some fun happenings on the work side of life. We celebrated our brand new C21 Real Estate Consultants office with a big grand opening celebration on Feb. 28. The event was VERY well attended, and we also were able benefit a local charity, A Child’s Place, with donations we collected on its behalf. A Child’s Place is an amazing organization that works with and supports the homeless children of Charlotte to ensure they have what they need to be successful both in school and in life. We donated three VERY large bins of toiletries and personal care supplies that are much needed by the organization.
Our open house celebration also gave us a great excuse to show off our hot new office space!! We are the “premier high-tech firm” in Charlotte, and our space reflects that. The event was a ton of fun, and I am thankful for all of my clients, business partners and friends who showed up to support us!
The other big happening in February was traveling to Myrtle Beach to celebrate C21 award recipients in our region. CENTURY 21 makes a very big deal of the awards it gives out, and I was very excited to be a recipient this year (for my 2013 performance) of the prestigious Centurion Award. Centurion is the highest level one can reach within CENTURY 21, so I was very honored!
The awards ceremony/conference was a wonderful opportunity to meet with other C21 offices and agents and to share best practices. I look forward to next year when we can celebrate our two offices’ successes in Charlotte real estate!! I expect we will see many office awards in addition to our individual achievements!
Lastly on the professional front, I had a closing in early March that was a thrill for me. I’ve been a listener of the “Bob & Sheri Show” morning radio show since I moved to Charlotte in 1999. It’s a nationally syndicated show, but it’s based in Charlotte. In early March, I was able to help Sheri and her husband purchase a property in Charlotte, and it was absolutely amazing to work with them! Sheri is just as nice, kind, smart, and as down-to-earth as she seems on air, and it was so exciting to get to know her better! I wish them the very best, and I thank Sheri for the kind words she shared about working with me!
On the personal side, things are pretty status quo in the Kitzmiller household. The girls are plugging away at school and in their activities with church and swimming. In March we are going to be hosting a German exchange student for a few weeks (wish it could be longer!), and we are looking forward to having her with us!
On the swimming front, we have shifted away from the swim meet and competition side of swimming over to open water swimming and triathlons. I look forward to signing up for a few more open water swims that will start in the May/June timeframe. The different focus during the different times of the year keeps things fresh for us when we are swimming.
Thanks for reading and catching up with me, more to come soon!
